A small hobby-brewery wanted a label to be used on all their bottles, as well as a logo. The client gave me creative freedom of the design but specified a desire for a modern, crisp feel. The label’s flowing blue background was inspired by the lake Mälaren just a few hundred meters from the brewery, surrounded by a grey border that gives the brewer space to mark his creations by brew date and alcohol percentage. The logo was created with the same modern and crisp feel in mind by using subtle wordplay. Originating from the term hophead, a stylized hops was depicted sticking up from an equally stylized preacher’s collar, serving as a nod to the name of Preacher bay. Idea, concept and design by me. Created using Illustrator and Photoshop.
